How water reacts in space

If you’ve ever wondered what happens to water when it’s weightless, now’s your chance to find out.

A mesmerising 4K video taken on the International Space Station demonstrates how water reacts in space, with NASA’s Scott Kelly adding food colouring and an antacid tablet to the water to change its appearance.

Although it just looks like a bit of fun, the filming has a serious side: the high resolution and frame rate used in the video could be applied to scientific experiments, allowing investigators to explore various phenomena in more detail.

See the weightless water below and tell us what you think of the enchanting video.
