Balloons delivering messages to strangers

AttachmentAn artist has given a new interpretation to the classic ‘message in a bottle’ by creating a digital project with biodegradable balloons.

David Colombini’s ‘Attachment’ project allows you to send a message via a webpage connected to a ‘poetic machine’, which prints and packages your message in a tube, before tying it to the balloon.

The machine then inflates the balloon and releases it into the air; the balloon floats away until it deflates and lands somewhere completely different, just waiting for a stranger to unravel its poetic message.

Watch ‘Attachment’ in action below and let us know if you’ll be sending a message to stranger.
