Inventor of Paypal unveils 800mph ‘Hyperloop’ transport system

The inventor of Paypal Elon Musk has unveiled his plans for a cheap 800mph transport system called ‘Hyperloop’.

Using magnets and fans it is proposed that capsules could be shot through long tubes at incredible speeds.

The plans also involve using cushions of air to protect the tubes during transport – although this might not be enough to appease the fears of nervous travellers.

According to the plans passengers inside the capsules would experience similar g-forces to driving a sports car, coupled with the fact that the proposed ticket value is only $20 makes this an attractive offer.

However, don’t get your hopes up, Mr Musk claims it could take 4 – 5 years to complete a prototype, and that he has not got any immediate plans to begin building one.

See below for a visual demonstration, and tell us if you can see yourself one day travelling via ‘Hyperloop’.
